Position: Retail Compliance Representative

Job Type: Short-term contract, M-F

Duration: 2 weeks (training and store visits combined)

Location: Burlington, Kitchener, Waterloo, Brantford, Welland, and London

Pay Rate: $21/hour + Mileage

Start Date: November 9

Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing, and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings.

We seek Compliance Representatives for the IESO Home Renovation Savings (HRS) Appliance Program. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual passionate about energy efficiency to join our team as a Retail Compliance Representative. The Representative will work on behalf of the IESO at select retailers in Burlington, Kitchener, Waterloo, Brantford, Welland, and London to complete compliance checks.

The Compliance

Representative will be responsible for ensuring that designated retail locations are compliant with Summerhill's standards and will report accordingly.

The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, holds a valid driver's license, has access to a reliable vehicle, and has a genuine interest in the environment and energy conservation.

Job Responsibilities

- Ensure POP materials are correctly set up with accurate rebate details (amount, product eligibility, and IESO website).
- Communicate with local staff about the importance of having POP on display.
- Verify eligible products are marked using approved materials (hang tabs, tent cards, aisle blades).
- Check store posters/POP materials to ensure they are in appropriate locations and that no opportunities are missed.
- ·If required and permitted, the Compliance Representative will assist store staff in putting up POP.
- Take photos of POP displayed at each retail location and send photos to the Summerhill contact




- Answer questions about the Rebates campaign or direct inquiries to the Program Manager.
- Submit a detailed report via Microsoft Forms to document compliant checks and highlight any takeaways from store visits or calls.
- Attend mandatory online paid training

Job Qualifications/ Requirements

- Valid driver's license, access to a reliable car, and proof of insurance
- Flexible schedule to accommodate in-store visits
- Smartphone with a data plan (reps will be compensated for data usage for reporting) and access to a computer with high-speed internet
- Comfortable using Microsoft Windows, email, internet applications, Google Maps, and route mapping software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented; able to work independently, multitask, and self-manage
- Friendly and professional manner and appearance
- Assets: merchandising experience; education or experience in energy efficiency or related fields

Each store will require one compliance visit, and there are 9 stores in Total.
- 3 Stores in Brantford
- 2 Stores in Kitchener
- 1 Store in Waterloo
- 1 Store in Burlington
- 1 Store in Welland
- 1 Store in London
