Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable Daycare Cooking and Cleaning team member to help provide children with a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role combines meal preparation and food service with routine cleaning and kitchen upkeep. Previous experience in a daycare, restaurant, kitchen, or other part of the food industry is helpful but not required.

Duties

- Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to provided menus and established food safety practices.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup.
- Handle and store food properly, including keeping kitchen surfaces and equipment clean.
- Wash dishes and utensils, and maintain an orderly kitchen and dining area.
- Clean and sanitize assigned daycare spaces, such as tables, floors, and frequently used surfaces.




- Follow daily cleaning routines and promptly report supply needs or maintenance concerns.
- Support a tidy, hygienic workplace while being mindful of children’s safety.

Requirements

- Ability to follow instructions, menus, cleaning routines, and food safety procedures.
- Dependable, organized, and attentive to cleanliness and detail.
- Comfortable with cooking, food preparation, food handling, serving, and routine cleaning tasks.
- Food service experience, restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or other food industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to work respectfully and professionally in a childcare setting.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
