Job Summary

- The ECE Teacher supports children’s learning, development, and well-being in a safe, welcoming classroom.

- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

- Build positive relationships with children and families, adapting instruction to meet individual needs, including those of children with disabilities.

- Use clear, respectful communication and maintain accurate classroom records.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons and activities grounded in early childhood education practices.

- Provide attentive childcare, supervise children, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.

- Support children’s individual learning needs and collaborate with families and colleagues on appropriate strategies.

- Use effective teaching approaches, positive guidance, and inclusive practices in the classroom.

- Communicate with families and team members verbally and in writing; English proficiency is required.



French or bilingual skills are an asset.

- Use computers and classroom technology for routine computer operation, documentation, and communication.

- Apply robust time management and organizational skills to balance classroom routines, lesson preparation, and recordkeeping.

- Demonstrate leadership, sound judgment, patience, and professionalism.

Experience

- Experience working with children and in childcare, teaching, or classroom settings is preferred.

- Training or education in early childhood education is preferred.

- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is an asset.

- Strong communication, writing, computer, and organizational skills are required.

- French language skills or bilingual ability are welcome.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
