Job Summary

We are seeking an engaging English Instructor to help students build confidence and proficiency in English. The instructor will deliver lessons from our curriculum suited to students’ ages, learning goals, and skill levels, while creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Experience with children, tutoring, teaching, or classroom instruction is valued.

Responsibilities

- Teach English language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary, grammar, and writing.
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Support students with English writing skills, pronunciation, comprehension, and conversation practice.
- Maintain a positive, organized classroom and encourage active participation.
- Communicate appropriately with students, families, and colleagues about learning goals and progress.
- Provide individualized support or tutoring when needed.
- Use students’ additional language knowledge—such as Mandarin, Korean, French, Spanish,



or Japanese—to support learning when appropriate.

Requirements

- Strong English proficiency and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Teaching, tutoring, or classroom experience preferred.
- Experience working with children is an asset.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons, explain concepts clearly, and adapt instruction to different learning styles.
- Patience, organization, and a supportive approach to student learning.
- Knowledge of Mandarin, Korean, French, Spanish, or Japanese is a plus, but not required.

Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri / 3:30 PM- 7:00 PM (Days and hours are negotiable) Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3.0 – 8.0 per week
