Teach financial literacy at Brock University using mathematics or finance expertise and previous classroom experience. This role requires on-campus work as needed.
The Teaching Assistant supports the Financial Literacy course through scheduled student contact and related academic administration. Candidates should hold an honours BA or BSc in Mathematics or Finance, plus a BEd. Previous successful teaching experience at elementary, secondary, or postsecondary levels is required. Experience teaching financial literacy is also specified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled contact time with students
- Prepare seminar materials for course activities
- Consult with students about course matters
- Mark or grade assigned student work
- Proctor examinations and hold office hours
Requirements:
- Honours BA or BSc in Mathematics or Finance
- BEd qualification in an identified division
- Successful teaching experience at an eligible education level
- Experience teaching financial literacy
- Work on campus as needed
