Position Summary The Finishing/Rewinder Operator is responsible for operating a Prati or Rotoflex machines.

Work Schedule: Afternoon Shift

Weekday Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:30 am - 7 pm

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Essential Functions

- Perform job order review to ensure job requirements are known and understood
- Monitor product quality during rewind runs. Check product quality against established quality standards. Take action to correct any problems.
- Monitor feeding, die-cutting, and finishing processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine rewinder maintenance, upkeep and cleaning
- Complete accurately all related job paperwork
- Maintain acceptable productivity standards while minimizing waste
- Maintaining the highest level of production quality while operating in a clean environment
- Fully utilize equipment features including vision system, back numbering, table top rework etc
- Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required Education

- High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education
- Post-secondary degree or technical diploma or equivalent production/machine operator experience (12 months)

Preferred Experience
- Two years of previous slitting/rewinding experience.

Computer Skills
- Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC

- Vision (near, distance, peripheral, depth perception)
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles, or shields, and cut-resistant gloves.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and moving machines/equipment.
