Job Summary

MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE, COOK, AND SERVE BEEF

- Prepare and cook menu items during evening service, then complete closing duties to leave the grill and kitchen clean, safe, and ready for the next shift.
- Support smooth food service by coordinating with servers and kitchen teammates, following recipes and food-safety procedures, and maintaining an organized work area.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or kitchen is helpful, but applicants with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and complete meal preparation according to recipes, portion standards, and service needs.
- Cook and assemble orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining food quality.
- Follow safe food-handling practices, including proper storage, temperature monitoring, and prevention of cross-contamination.
- Coordinate with serving staff and other kitchen team members to keep orders moving and communicate special requests.
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed, and keep the grill and surrounding work areas clean throughout the shift.
- Complete closing tasks,



such as cleaning and sanitizing cooking surfaces and equipment, storing food properly, disposing of waste, and checking that the kitchen is orderly.
- Follow workplace procedures and applicable food-safety requirements.

Skills

- Knowledge of or willingness to learn food preparation, cooking, meal preparation, and food handling.
- Understanding of food safety practices, or willingness to complete required training.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with staff in serving and food service.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and cleaning procedures.
- Food service experience, restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or experience in the food industry is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $17.95 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 42.0 per week
