Summary
Freedom Fire Inc. is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician who is interested in low-impact, specialized electrical work. This position is ideal for someone looking to expand their experience beyond traditional electrical installations into emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
You’ll work alongside a supportive team on a variety of commercial and industrial projects while developing valuable skills in the life safety industry.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, install, and troubleshoot emergency lighting systems in accordance with fire code and safety standards
- Perform fire alarm wiring, device installation, and panel replacements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Work collaboratively with project managers, technicians, and other trades
- Ensure work is completed safely,
efficiently, and to high quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records
- Travel to out-of-town job sites as required
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician certification
- Interest in obtaining CFAA certification (company paid)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work out of town when required
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with emergency lighting systems
- Experience with fire alarm systems and related wiring
