The Role:
We are looking for a Junior Designer to take 3D models created by our Senior Designers and turn them into accurate 2D shop drawings for our welding floor.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed shop and fabrication drawings from existing 3D models.
- Correctly apply standard manufacturing and welding fabrication symbols.
- Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are placed on order.
- Coordinate with the fabrication floor to clarify design details.
Requirements:
- Must know Autodesk Inventor.
- Must have a working knowledge of standard welding and manufacturing symbols.
- Background or education in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- High attention to detail to ensure shop floor accuracy.
