About us

Bluenose Productions is a growing video production company based in Halifax, NS, with regular work in Moncton, NB. We produce ads, social content, corporate video, and branded content for businesses across the Maritimes. We care about craft, we move quickly, and we’re growing, so we’re bringing on an editor to grow with us.

The role

You’ll be editing real client work from day one, with direct mentorship from our creative director. Most of the job is in the edit. If you’re interested in more, such as production, coming on set, or creative direction, there’s room to grow into it. That part is up to you.

What you’ll work on

- Paid social ads, including multiple versions and hook variations
- Short-form content and captions for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Clipping long-form YouTube content into social cutdowns
- Corporate and branded pieces, from interview selects and rough cuts to finished edits
- Keeping projects, media, and timelines organized and easy to pick up

What we’re looking for Taste matters more to us than skill. Skills can be taught. Knowing what’s good is harder to teach.

We don’t need you to be great yet. We need you to know what excellent looks like and want to get there.

- A real eye for what makes content work and what makes it good
- Some editing experience. School, personal projects, or your own channel all count.
- Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve is preferred, but whatever you edit in works
- You take feedback well and apply it
- Organized and reliable. You hit deadlines and speak up early if something’s off.
- Bonus: motion graphics, colour, sound design, or camera experience
