Overview

- We are seeking a dependable, organized Lead Prep Cook to help coordinate daily kitchen preparation and support smooth, safe food service.

- This hands-on role involves preparing ingredients and meals, maintaining food safety standards, and helping guide the prep team through busy service periods.

- Prior food service experience is preferred.

Experience in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or the broader food industry is a plus.

Duties

- Lead and coordinate daily food preparation tasks, assigning prep work and helping the kitchen stay organized and service-ready.

- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures.

- Cook and finish menu items as needed, supporting consistent quality and timely service.

- Help ensure food is stored, labeled, handled, and prepared in accordance with food safety and sanitation practices.

- Monitor ingredient levels, communicate supply needs, and help reduce waste through careful preparation and storage.

- Maintain clean workstations and properly use kitchen tools and equipment.





- Support the team during service, including coordinating prepared items for serving and responding to changing kitchen needs.

- Help train and support kitchen staff in preparation procedures, safe food handling, and daily routines.

Requirements

- Previous kitchen experience; restaurant experience or other food service experience is preferred.

- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and meal preparation techniques.

- Understanding of safe food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices.

- Ability to organize prep tasks, follow recipes and instructions, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and support to coworkers.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely perform the physical tasks associated with kitchen work.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
