Position: Mathematics Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $60 - $120/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

- Solve and validate advanced mathematical and computational problems.
- Translate mathematical requirements into accurate, executable workflows.
- Implement mathematical workflows using Python and command-line-accessible tools.
- Use Python to automate calculations, numerical experiments, parameter sweeps, visualization, and result validation.

Requirements

- An MS or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computational Science, Theoretical Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.




- A BS in Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field plus strong relevant experience in mathematics-focused professional or research roles.
- Strong expertise in at least one mathematical area, such as applied mathematics, numerical analysis, optimization, probability, statistics, discrete mathematics, algebra, geometry, mathematical modeling, or dynamical systems.
- Experience with Python and programmatic mathematical software such as SymPy, SageMath, SciPy, CVXPY, NumPy, GNU Octave, Julia, or similar tools.
