Meat Customer Service Representative (Full-Time & Part-Time)

About the Role

As a Meat Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in creating an outstanding customer experience by helping customers select from our wide variety of fresh, high-quality meat products. You will educate customers, answer questions, provide recommendations, and build lasting relationships with our loyal clientele.

Approximately 60% of your time will be spent at the meat counter assisting customers, preparing products, maintaining attractive displays, and ensuring product quality standards are met. The remaining 40% of your time will involve stocking inventory, cleaning work areas, and supporting food preparation activities behind the scenes to ensure the department operates efficiently.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding position with opportunities to learn, grow, and be part of a dedicated team.

Position Details

Full-Time: 35-40 hours per week

Part-Time: 24-30 hours per week

Availability: Days, evenings, and weekend shifts

Physical Requirements: Regular standing, lifting, and some heavy lifting required

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and product recommendations

Assist customers with meat selection and order fulfillment





Prepare and package meat products according to company standards

Maintain product displays and ensure freshness and quality

Process transactions and operate POS systems when required

Restock merchandise and maintain inventory levels

Follow food safety and sanitation procedures

Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

Support department operations through food preparation and stocking activities

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant, grocery, or food service environment

Knowledge of food handling and kitchen operations is an asset

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude, solid work ethic, and sense of urgency

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and responsibilities

Basic math skills and experience handling transactions

Experience with cashiering and POS systems is considered an asset
