Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Builder/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing various components and structures, ensuring precision and adherence to drawings and schematics. This role requires a robust mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience in manufacturing environments.

The Builder/Fitter will play a critical role in fabricating and assembling complex assemblies to support our ship out deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Interpret schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MIG/TIG), press machines, and other fabrication tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials.




- Perform rigging tasks to lift and position heavy components safely using cranes or forklifts.
- Measure dimensions precisely with calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices to ensure proper fitment.
- Operate machining equipment for precise fabrication of parts as needed.
- Read schematics and technical instructions to execute assembly tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during assembly or fabrication processes.

Experience

- Proven experience in manufacturing, or fabrication environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools forklifts, and schematics interpretation.
- Prior experience with schematics reading, assembly processes, and working with manufacturing teams is highly desirable.
