Overview

We are seeking a dependable, organized Medical Office Assistant to support daily operations in a patient-focused healthcare setting. This role helps create a welcoming experience for patients while keeping front-desk smoothly. Candidates with medical or dental office experience are encouraged to apply.

Duties

- Welcome patients, assist with check-in and check-out, and provide courteous front desk support.
- Schedule, confirm, and update appointments while maintaining accurate patient information.
- Answer calls using a multi-line phone system; respond to routine questions and direct clinical inquiries to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain electronic medical records, update files, and handle documentation with care and confidentiality.
- Support administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, data entry, and coordinating office communications.
- Use medical terminology appropriately when communicating with patients and healthcare staff.
- Help maintain an orderly reception area and support productive patient flow.





Qualifications

- Previous office experience, administrative experience, or front desk experience preferred.
- Medical office experience or dental office experience is a plus; experience as a dental receptionist is also valued.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records is preferred. Experience with MedAccess is an advantage.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and comfort using multi-line phone systems.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Comfortable learning office procedures, and working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff.

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
