Experienced Full-Time Nanny – Kitsilano, Vancouver

Monday–Friday | 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. | $28–$35/hour

We are a professional family in Kitsilano seeking a warm, reliable, experienced live-out nanny for a long-term position caring for our two children: a 3-year-old girl attending part-time preschool and an 8-year-old boy in Grade 3.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children, takes initiative, and can become a trusted and valued part of our family's daily life.

Responsibilities

Childcare – Primary Priority

- Provide attentive, nurturing and engaging care for our children.
- Preschool pickup at approximately 11:45 a.m. and elementary school pickup in the afternoon.
- Plan age-appropriate activities, outdoor play and creative learning opportunities.
- Support healthy routines, positive behaviour and emotional development.
- Assist with after-school routines and homework as appropriate.

Meal Preparation and Cooking

- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Assist with family meal preparation and cooking.
- Help maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

Light Household Support

- Children's laundry and occasional family laundry.
- Light tidying and household organization.
- Maintain children's play and activity areas.

We already employ professional house cleaners, so deep cleaning is not expected.

Ideal Candidate





- Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience, preferably with preschool and school-aged children.
- Warm, patient, dependable and genuinely enthusiastic about working with children.
- Comfortable preparing healthy family meals.
- Organized, proactive and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Able to provide at least two verifiable professional childcare references.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Valid driver's licence an asset, but not mandatory.

Compensation and Advantages
- $28–$35/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- 40 paid hours per week, Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Paid meal period while remaining available for childcare.
- Paid vacation and statutory entitlements in accordance with B.C. employment standards.
