We’re growing, and we’re looking for an Optometric Assistant to join our Edmonton team.

About the Role

You’ll set the tone for every visit by greeting patients with warmth and positive energy, whatever their age or their medical and visual needs. Your day will mix patient care, clinical pre-testing, and front-desk work. You’ll work closely with our doctors and team, and you’ll coordinate with other healthcare clinics.

New to optometry? That’s okay! We’re happy to train the right person. Experienced Optometric Assistants and Eyewear Consultants are also encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

· Welcome and greet patients

· Answer phones and book appointments

· Take case histories and pre-test patients before they see the doctor

· Operate ophthalmic testing equipment





· Educate patients about their care

· Create invoices and process insurance claims and payments

· Communicate with team members, doctors, and other healthcare providers

· Other duties as assigned
