Oceanside Optometry Nanaimo is looking for an Optometric Assistant to join our close-knit team.
The role includes:
- Independently guiding patients through preliminary testing, including visual acuity, visual field testing, OCT and Optomap imaging, and taking patient histories.
- Collaborating closely with optometrists to support patient care.
- Checking patients in and out, answering phones, and booking eye examinations.
- Helping maintain an efficient clinic flow and keep appointments on schedule.
We're looking for someone who is professional, personable, and adaptable, with the ability to balance excellent patient care with efficiency. Experience in eye care is preferred,
but we're happy to train the right person who brings initiative, curiosity, and a genuine willingness to learn. No two days are alike! Enjoy a dynamic, hands-on role where you'll stay active throughout the clinic, move between different tasks, work directly with patients, and use clinical technology.
