About the Position

Richmond Dental Clinic is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Part time Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, patient-focused, and comfortable assisting the dentist in providing quality dental care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Knowledge of Persian/Farsi is a robust asset, as is familiarity with Maxident dental practice management software. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before appointments.
- Maintain proper sterilization, infection prevention, and control procedures.
- Take and process dental X-rays, if qualified and authorized.
- Prepare dental instruments and materials for restorative, preventive, and other dental procedures.
- Provide chairside assistance and help ensure patient comfort throughout treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information in the dental software.
- Assist with operatory cleaning, instrument reprocessing, and daily clinic setup.
- Monitor dental supplies and help maintain an organized clinical environment.
- Communicate professionally with patients and other team members.




- Follow applicable dental office protocols and Ontario infection prevention and control requirements.

Qualifications
- Dental assisting education or relevant experience is preferred.
- Current qualifications and certifications required for the duties performed, including appropriate authorization for dental radiography where applicable.
- Knowledge of Persian/Farsi is a strong asset.
- Experience with Maxident dental software is an asset.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and chairside assisting procedures.
- Understanding of sterilization, infection prevention, and control protocols.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Friendly, qualified, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy dental practice.
