About the role

Skylark Counselling is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to help keep our downtown Vancouver office clean, stocked, organized, and welcoming.

This is a small, ongoing role for someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in caring for a space. Alongside light cleaning, you’ll check the details that help our clinic run smoothly—from stocked tissues and fresh drinking water to working lights and clocks.

Our clients come to us for support and care. Your work will help create a calm, comfortable setting from the moment they arrive.

What you’ll do

During each visit, you will:

- Vacuum and complete light cleaning of floors and common areas.
- Check that waiting areas and other client-facing spaces are tidy and welcoming.
- Restock fridges with bottled water and check the water cooler.
- Check supplies such as tissues, paper towels, and soap; replenish them and flag anything running low.
- Check lights and clocks, replacing clock batteries as needed and reporting lighting issues.
- Notice and report damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs.
- Send a brief checklist-style update after each visit, noting completed tasks and anything requiring attention.




- Include photos when helpful, ensuring clients and confidential information are not captured.

You’ll handle routine upkeep within the role and flag issues that require additional support or repairs.

What we’re looking for

- Someone dependable who can attend two scheduled visits each week.
- Strong attention to detail and the initiative to notice when something needs attention.
- The ability to work independently and follow a routine checklist.
- Clear communication and comfort sending brief phone updates.
- The ability to safely complete light cleaning and restocking tasks, including handling water supplies.
- Professionalism, discretion, and respect for confidentiality in a counselling environment.

Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or office upkeep experience is an asset.
