Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented mechanic for our Parts Counter Person position. The candidate must have worked in a Truck and/or Heavy Equipment shop as a mechanic in order to qualify for this position. All training for this position will be on-the-job, which is why trade experience as a mechanic is a must.

This position is for a mechanic looking to get off the floor and into the Parts Department. This role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Process shop paperwork including purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, work orders, etc.
- Work closely with truck and heavy equipment Mechanics and Operators.
- Source parts and supplies for equipment and business requirements.
- Maintain inventory levels working closely with shop and dispatch team.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload orders (training provided).
- Assist in yard organization.





Experience

- Must have at least 5 years of experience as a mechanic in a Truck repair shop or a Heavy Equipment repair shop.
- Solid computer skills and ability to learn new software a must.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented workplace while also being self-motivated.
