We are seeking caring, compassionate, and adaptable Personal Support Workers who enjoy working with older adults and are looking for flexibility and variety in their work.

This Casual Permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work across Fairview's continuum of care, supporting seniors through 1:1 care in Long-Term Care, Retirement Living, Home & Community Services and Respite Care. No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity for PSWs who enjoy diverse experiences and building meaningful relationships with clients and residents.

Position Summary As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life. Working collaboratively with nurses, coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members,



you will support residents and clients with their daily care needs across various Fairview programs and locations.

This position requires travel between Fairview-operated locations within a designated geographical area.

Qualifications & Assets

- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized program
- Experience working with older adults with complex age-related illnesses, dementia, and/or mental health concerns is considered an asset
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence required
- Reliable vehicle required
- Ability to travel between Fairview-operated locations as required
- Comfortable with electronic charting and communication systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Team-oriented approach to care
- Current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required
- Current TB screening required

Responsibilities

- Assist residents and clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, and personal hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Promote resident and client independence, dignity, and well-being
- Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, and cognitive status




- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation
- Collaborate with nurses, coordinators, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Travel between Fairview programs and service locations as required
- Follow all organizational policies, infection prevention practices, and health and safety procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Shift Information

- Casual Permanent Position
- Primary availability required: 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Additional opportunities available across Fairview programs, including:
- 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
- Opportunity to pick up additional hours based on program needs and respite coverage requests
- Alternating weekend availability preferred
- Flexibility to work across Long-Term Care, Retirement Living, Home & Community Services and Respite Programs is considered a strong asset.
