We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant with hands-on experience using Kroll pharmacy software and paperless pharmacy workflows. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of Canadian community pharmacy experience, strong prescription-processing skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Non-sterile compounding experience is preferred. Flexible availability, including Saturdays, is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions accurately using Kroll pharmacy software.
- Manage prescriptions through paperless workflows and electronic documentation.
- Perform prescription data entry, refill processing, and prescription transfers.
- Process third-party insurance claims and resolve billing rejections.
- Assist with prescription preparation, filling, and dispensing workflow.
- Support non-sterile compounding activities, if qualified.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock organization.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality.
- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with daily pharmacy operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Canadian community pharmacy experience.
- Hands-on Kroll pharmacy software experience is mandatory.
- Experience with paperless pharmacy workflows is mandatory.
- Knowledge of prescription processing and third-party insurance billing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
- Flexible availability, including Saturdays, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous non-sterile compounding experience.
- Familiarity with pharmacy inventory management and daily workflow optimization.
