We are a long-established distributor and manufacturer of industrial fasteners. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Purchaser to manage the purchasing of fasteners, threaded rod, round bar and related industrial products. This role is responsible for keeping inventory available for customer orders and in-house manufacturing in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Review inventory levels and replenish stock as required.

- Source and purchase materials from suppliers in Canada, the United States and overseas.

- Request and compare supplier quotes based on price, lead time and overall cost.

- Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms with suppliers.

- Review supplier order confirmations for accuracy.

- Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and incoming materials.

- Resolve receiving discrepancies or supplier issues.

- Coordinate with sales, manufacturing and warehouse teams on material requirements.





- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.

- Help improve purchasing processes and inventory tracking.

Experience

- Previous purchasing or procurement experience in an industrial, manufacturing or distribution workplace.

- Industrial product knowledge is an asset.

- Fastener knowledge is an asset but not required.

- Experience with ERP or inventory systems.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with U.S. or overseas purchasing is an asset.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
