We are currently seeking a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented Sandwich Maker to join our team at Paris Baguette Ancaster.

The ideal candidate is passionate about food preparation, maintains high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail to ensure our freshly prepared sandwiches and savoury products meet Paris Baguette's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other savoury menu items according to Paris Baguette recipes and presentation standards.
- Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and preparation procedures to maintain consistent food quality.
- Wash, cut, portion, and prepare fresh ingredients for daily production.
- Maintain freshness, proper storage, and rotation of ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Ensure all products are properly labelled, dated, and stored according to food safety requirements.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate low-stock items to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation station throughout each shift.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Complete daily opening,



preparation, cleaning, and closing tasks as assigned.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production requirements while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Minimize food waste through accurate portioning and proper ingredient handling.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of food preparation, sandwich making, or kitchen experience preferred.
- Experience working in a bakery, café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized recipes.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive food preparation tasks.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Food Handler Certification is required.
