BP Workforce Solutions is seeking 8 professional, reliable, and experienced Security Guards to provide event security services during the Collingwood Christmas Parade on November 21, 2026.

Successful candidates will help maintain a safe and organized environment for parade attendees, families, event staff, and the general public. Applicants must have a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, a valid driver’s licence, strong English communication skills, and legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

- Monitor assigned areas and help maintain public safety throughout the event.
- Assist with crowd control and pedestrian movement along the parade route.
- Communicate professionally with the public, event organizers, and fellow security personnel.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and incidents.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with event security procedures.
- Assist with maintaining orderly access to designated areas.
- Complete incident reports and other required documentation when necessary.
- Remain alert, professional, and courteous throughout the shift.

Mandatory Requirements




- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence — must be valid for the event date.
- Valid driver’s licence — must be current and in good standing.
- Fluent English communication skills — strong verbal communication is essential.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Reliable transportation to and from Collingwood.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in cold weather.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and a responsible attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event security, crowd control, or public-facing security roles.
- Experience working at festivals, parades, concerts, or other public events.
- Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.

Pay: $17.95-$20.00 per hour
