Red Seal Electrician | Grow into a Service Van Technician Role
Ready for your next step as an electrician?
At Power Pros Electrical, we're looking for a Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician who has a great attitude and strong work ethic and is excited to keep learning.
Maybe you have solid commercial electrical experience but haven't worked out of a service van before. Maybe you've had some exposure to troubleshooting and service work and want the opportunity to build those skills further.
What matters most to us is finding someone who shares our values: accountability, integrity, respect, teamwork, excellence and safety. If you take pride in your work, treat people well and are eager to learn, we're excited to invest in your growth. We'll work with you to build a development plan that helps you become a confident, well-rounded Service Van Technician.
About Power Pros Electrical For over 27 years, Power Pros has built its reputation on professional integrity, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.
We're proud of the team we've built and believe that great employees don't stop learning. We want people who are excited to develop their skills, take on new challenges, and build a long-term career with us.
What You'll Be Doing
Service work gives you the opportunity to work independently, solve different problems every day, and build strong relationships with customers.
In this role, you'll work on a variety of electrical systems across residential and commercial settings. Your work may include:
- Troubleshooting and identifying electrical issues
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical diagrams
- Working with a variety of systems, including distribution, lighting controls, and fire alarms
- Communicating professionally with customers and providing excellent service
- Keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Working independently while being supported by an experienced Service team
- Working safely and maintaining Power Pros' quality standards
- As your skills and confidence grow, you'll participate in a rotational evening/weekend on-call schedule.
Who We're Looking For First and foremost, we're looking for someone with the right attitude,
values and willingness to learn.
You'll Need
- Red Seal Construction Electrician certification
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- A strong electrical foundation and commercial experience
- A commitment to safe, quality work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Reliability and the ability to work independently
- Basic comfort with computers and completing paperwork
FSR-B and previous service van experience are assets, but not requirements. If you have a strong electrical foundation and the right mindset, we're willing to help you develop the service skills needed to succeed in the role. Why Power Pros?
- A real opportunity to grow your career and develop your skills in service work
- Work alongside experienced people who are willing to share what they know
- Variety in your day and opportunities to strengthen your troubleshooting skills
- Flexible starting locations, with the ability to start your day from home
- Work throughout the Lower Mainland
- Company vehicle, phone, laptop and the tools and technology you need to do your job
- Extended health, dental and vision benefits for you and your family
- RRSP matching program
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Competitive wages with annual cost-of-living increases
- Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities
- Company events for employees and their families
