Job Overview

- The Sterile Bay Technician supports safe, efficient dental care by cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing instruments and clinical equipment.

- This role helps maintain a clean, orderly treatment environment and ensures dental teams have the supplies and instruments they need.

- The position is based in a dental office and involves following established infection-control procedures and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments according to office protocols and manufacturer instructions.

- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves, and document completed sterilization cycles.

- Inspect instruments and equipment for cleanliness, damage, or wear; report issues to the appropriate team member.

- Organize and restock instrument trays, sterilization supplies, and clinical materials.

- Maintain clean, orderly sterilization and storage areas,



and follow procedures for handling contaminated instruments and waste.

- Support dental staff with room turnover and other sterilization-area tasks as needed.

- Protect patient privacy and follow applicable infection-prevention and safety practices.

Experience

- Previous experience in a dental office, sterilization area, or healthcare setting is helpful but not required.

- Familiarity with infection control, instrument processing, or sterilization equipment is an advantage.

- Willingness to learn.

- Strong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and the ability to follow written procedures are important.

- Ability to work cooperatively with a dental team and maintain a skilled, safety-focused approach.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
