Job Summary
Abilities Behaviour Consulting Inc. is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervised ABA Therapist to join our ABC team in Guelph, ON. IT will provide 1:1 Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) programming. Candidates will be responsible for working directly with child, youth and teens with autism or other developmental disabilities, implementing the principles of ABA. Clients are supervised by an RBA (ONT.) and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide ABA programming to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Prepare and organize the teaching workplace and materials.
- Follow written programs seek consultation as needed.
- Utilize sound clinical judgment.
- Assess individual’s skills, abilities, interests, strengths and needs.
- Collect and graph data to be used to evaluate child’s progress toward program goals.
- Prepare written documentation regarding client’s session and progress as required.
- Maintain regular communications with parents, other therapists, and BCBA.
- Collaborate with supervisor regarding programming and client's progress.
Qualifications and Skills
- A College Diploma or University Degree related to Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Experience working with individuals who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 6 months experience applying the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Organizational and time management skills
- Recent vulnerable sector screening.
- Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention or Safety Management training is an asset.
- First Aid/ CPR Training is an asset.
- RBT an asset (or other ABA related courses)
