SYSTEMS ANALYST

DIGITAL FOUNDATIONS, IDENTITY MANAGEMENT

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Cybersecurity Operations, the System Analyst, Identity Management administers and supports Identity and Access Management, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services within the Digital Foundations portfolio.

Working with Senior System Analysts, the role maintains identity and directory structures, access rules, platform configurations, and governance standards. It also supports the ongoing administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform services.

The position supports

- Identity and access: Maintain identity rules, access controls, role assignments, authentication services, and access-review processes.
- Directory services: Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID structures, groups, attributes, policies, and synchronization.
- Microsoft 365 services: Support the administration and maintenance of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and related services.
- Power Platform: Support Power Apps, Power Automate, environments, permissions, licensing, and established governance controls.
- Platform integrity: Monitor configurations, troubleshoot issues, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Administer and maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID structures, groups, attributes, roles, policies, and synchronization.
- Maintain identity governance standards, access rules, role-based access controls, and access-review processes.
- Administer and troubleshoot multifactor authentication, conditional access, single sign-on, and related authentication services.
- Review identity, directory, and access configurations to identify inconsistencies, inappropriate permissions, inactive objects, and policy exceptions.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, groups, licensing, shared resources, and administrative roles.
- Support Power Apps and Power Automate environments, permissions, connectors,



licensing, and established governance controls.
- Investigate and resolve escalated identity, directory, authentication, synchronization, and Microsoft 365 issues.
- Assist Senior System Analysts with platform maintenance, testing, implementation, and service improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, configuration records, and operational runbooks.
- Support audits, reporting, automation, control assessments, and compliance activities.
- Escalate significant risks, complex technical decisions, and unresolved issues to the appropriate Senior System Analyst or manager.

MUST- HAVES:

- Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in identity management, Active Directory, systems administration, Microsoft 365 administration, or a related technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Identity and Access Management, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience maintaining directory structures, groups, attributes, policies, permissions, roles, and synchronization.
- Working knowledge of identity governance, role-based access control, access reviews, multifactor authentication, conditional access, and single sign-on.
- Experience administering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Apps, or Power Automate.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow established governance, technical standards, and change-management processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Senior System Analysts, cybersecurity specialists, and other technical teams.

WE VALUE:

- Experience in healthcare, shared services, or another regulated environment.
- Experience supporting hybrid Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, LDAP, SCIM, and federation.
- Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, or other automation tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Azure, VDI, and endpoint-management technologies.
- Microsoft, identity management, Power Platform, cybersecurity, or ITIL certifications.




- Familiarity with PHIPA, HIPAA, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.

OTHER CONDITIONS:

- Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area, when required
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
