Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to support manufacturing and fabrication work. The ideal candidate can work safely and accurately from blueprints and schematics, use a range of welding and fabrication equipment, and contribute to quality assembly in a production or construction setting.

Responsibilities

- Perform welding and fabrication tasks, including MIG welding and TIG welding, according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurements to prepare and assemble components.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, fit, shape, and finish materials.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as a plasma cutter and press brake machine.
- Support machining and assembly tasks, checking dimensions with calipers and applying basic math as needed.
- Assist with material handling and rigging; operate a forklift or work around crane operations when trained and authorized.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow established safety and quality procedures.




- Apply mechanical knowledge to identify fit-up issues and support basic equipment troubleshooting.

Experience

- Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, ductwork, or construction setting is preferred.
- Experience with MIG welding and/or TIG welding is an asset.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, assembly, machining, and dimensional inspection using calipers is preferred.
- Experience using plasma cutting equipment, a press brake machine, hand tools, and power tools is beneficial.
- Rigging, forklift, or crane experience is an advantage; required equipment must only be operated with appropriate training and authorization.
- Ability to perform basic math, follow instructions, and work safely as part of a team.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.0 per week
