Wordpress Engineer
Canada, Remote
- 5-8 years of relevant professional experience is required, including production ownership of enterprise content management or web platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience administering and upgrading WordPress core, plugins, themes, and templates at scale.
- Proficiency in PHP, WordPress APIs and hooks, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, and up-to-date development practices.
- Experience authoring or maintaining GitHub Actions workflows for build, validation, and deployment automation.
- Hands-on administration of MySQL or MariaDB, including installation, configuration, upgrades, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Linux, Apache, or Nginx, command-line tools, web security, TLS, caching, logging, and monitoring.
- Experience managing production changes through branching strategies, pull requests, approvals, environment promotion, rollback, and audit controls.
