Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator

Company

Welcome to B&T; MacFarlane, a premier Kubota dealership serving Ottawa and the surrounding area since 1957.

We are a family-owned business with a strong, experienced team, and people tend to build careers here. Eleven of our current employees have been with B&T; for more than 10 years, with several reaching 15, 20 and 25+ years of service, and our longest-serving employee approaching 38 years with the company!

We work hard, we work as a team, and we enjoy having some fun along the way. We hold monthly employee lunches, an annual company golf day, and we take pride in creating a workplace where people know and support each other.

At the end of the day, our customers rely on their equipment to get their work done. Our role is to help keep them moving, and help keep Ottawa moving.

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, hardworking and team-oriented Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to join our Yard team.

This is a hands-on, physically active position that involves working outdoors throughout the year, operating forklifts, moving equipment, loading and unloading deliveries, and maintaining a secure, organized and presentable dealership yard.

You will work alongside a small team of three, where communication, cooperation and the ability to follow established procedures are essential. Every day brings different priorities, from unloading tractor-trailers and moving equipment to preparing the yard for changing weather conditions.

At B&T; MacFarlane, we consider our yard an extension of our showroom. How our equipment is displayed, stored and maintained reflects the pride we take in our dealership. Every member of the Yard team plays an important role in keeping the property clean, organized, safe and welcoming for customers.

The strongest candidates will take pride in their work, operate equipment safely, communicate well with others and be comfortable following direction within an established team environment.

Previous forklift experience is preferred. However, we also welcome candidates with hands-on experience in farming, agriculture, landscaping, construction, snow removal or similar equipment-related environments who are willing to learn. Training on Kubota equipment and safe operating procedures will be provided.

This position is best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys working outdoors in all seasons, appreciates an active workday and takes satisfaction in a job well done.
