Deliver perioperative nursing care in Owen Sound as a Registered Practical Nurse, using operating room skills and patient safety practices.Reporting to the Manager, this part time Registered Practical Nurse assesses perioperative patient needs and demonstrates nursing accountability. The position provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on need, evaluates patient outcomes, and supports operating room services. Candidates require current Ontario College of Nurses registration, an Operating Room certificate, and the ability to scrub across all services. Knowledge of current ORNAC standards, communication, organization, and emergency response skills are required.Key Responsibilities:




Assess perioperative patient needs in the operating roomPerform nursing activities safely and adequatelyProvide and utilize equipment and supplies based on patient needsEvaluate patient outcomes following perioperative careSupport patient safety within Brightshores’ department servicesRequirements:
Current registration with the Ontario College of NursesSuccessful completion of an Operating Room certificateAbility to scrub in all servicesKnowledge of current ORNAC standardsWillingness to take call and reach hospital within 20 minutesApply operating room expertise, perioperative assessment, and patient safety skills as a Registered Practical Nurse in Owen Sound.
