Key Job Elements
• Support a 3-shift operation
• Supervise skilled trades
• Organize jobs for shift start and ensure employees adhere to safety regulations
• Prepare daily reports and track progress including implementation of new technologies
• Ensure problems are properly documented, jobs are reviewed and area is clean before operating equipment
• Work within budgets and maintain accurate employee records
• Communicate with Production on breakdowns/status/equipment availability
• Maintain equipment uptime and follow-up on all requests
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area for group
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems on machinery and equipment
• Significant overtime and weekend work is involved
• Supervisory duties such as payroll/attendance Required Qualifications
• College Diploma and/or apprentice and license in Machine Repair or Electrician




• Minimum 5-7 years experience working in a unionized shop environment
• Robust computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Excellent communication (written, oral and listening) and analytical skills
• Strong organizational/administrative skills, including being a self-starter
• Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
• Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined space
• Ability to work steady Midnight shift and ability to works shiftwork as required Preferred Qualifications
• Skilled trades supervision experience
• Experience in MAXIMO
• 8 years shop floor work experience Working Environment
• Shop floor/shift/weekend work
