Job Title: Auk’s Lodge Bar Staff

Appointment Term: Part Time

Reports to: Frost Student Association via Auk’s Lodge Manager

Hours of Work: No more than 20 hours per week

Wages: $17.60

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide professional and courteous service; take customer orders, prepare beverages, and collect payments.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, both behind the bar and in the Auk’s Lodge space.
- Operate point of sale terminals and maintain balanced tills/floats.
- Monitor bar inventory and supplies and communicate results with management.




- Monitor Liquor License Standards and ensure all Auk’s Lodge policies and procedures are observed in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
- Ensure all policies outlined in the Auk’s Lodge Employee Handbook/Manual, and the Auk’s Lodge House Rules are followed.
- Assist with setup and preparation of the Auk’s Lodge for events as prescribed by management.
- Occasional other duties as prescribed by management.

Skills and Qualifications

- Smart Serve Certification.
- Familiarity with local liquor laws and the ability to enforce them.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
