Salary Range: $17.50 To $22.00 Hourly

Responsibilities

Supporting the well being of an individual with developmental disabilities by participating in helping the individual achieve their goals, creating natural supports in their community, role modelling, planning recreational & leisure activities, personal care, implementation of programs that help support an individual’s growth, problem solving, along with promoting life skills such as cooking, cleaning and daily documentation .

Requirements

- Clear Police Clearance (Vulnerable Sector Check and 6 months or newer) is required.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.




- Access to and use of a vehicle for all shifts with a minimum of $1,000,000 insurance and with the ability to transport clients is required.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- First aid and CPR, Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT), medication delivery, abuse reporting protocol would be an asset but if the candidate does not have this specific training, it will be provided.
- Previous experience in this field and working with challenging behavioursand mental health (trauma informed carewould be an asset.
- Must have flexibility in their schedule
