Serving an expertise and craftsmanship of a recent era of Jasper hospitality offerings. In Spring 2025, Otto's Cache opened its doors to Jasper National Park. The cafes focus is on serving high quality and attention to detail on both dine-in and take-away offerings. Such as Australian style specialty coffee and brunch, fresh bakery items, fresh bread, sandwiches and salads. The market’s main focus will be providing our community with locally sourced, exciting artisanal provisions, making great food accessible to our community year round. All made possible by local Canadian suppliers.
Role Overview:We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook / Dishwasher to join our team. This position supports the kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting cooks, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. It’s ideal for someone eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment and gain experience in multiple aspects of café operations.

Key Responsibilities
Prep Cook Duties:Prepare ingredients for menu items, including washing, chopping, measuring,



and portioningAssist cooks and chefs with basic prep and assembly tasksSet up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and suppliesFollow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety proceduresWash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipmentMaintain clean and organized dishwashing and prep areasAssist with garbage disposal, recycling and general kitchen cleaningSupport closing duties, including cleaning and restockingProperly store and label ingredients and food items according to health regulationsMonitor inventory and notify supervisors of shortagesWork efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailContribute to a positive, team-oriented workplaceRequirements:Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role preferred, but not requiredBasic knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife skills (for prep tasks)Ability to follow directions and multitaskStrong understanding of food safety and sanitation practicesAvailability for evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot conditionsDependable, detail-oriented, and team-focusedFood Safe Certificate is an assetSo if you're passionate about working in a team of engaged restaurant professionals, supporting local Canadian suppliers, quality cafe culture and experiencing living in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, this is the perfect opportunity for you
