Position Scope

The Contracts Specialist will be responsible for providing practical, operations-focused advice relating to existing and proposed contracts that will allow the company to identify and mitigate risks during its bidding and operational activities. The Contracts Specialist will be involved in the negotiation of major client contracts and subcontracts and will support site operations with ongoing contract interpretation in matters such as change management and resolution of contractual issues, claims, and disputes as they arise. A practical focus and the ability to identify potential problems before they materialize are essential to this position.

What You’ll Be Doing

Pre-Contract Award

- Act as a key stakeholder in the contracting process, participating in all phases of the RFx cycle from initial review of client documents to the finalization of the contract, ensuring that NACG’s proposals are properly reflected in all contractual documents.
- Conduct a detailed review of the client’s pro forma contract, including the general terms and conditions, and redline the client’s documents with the recommended changes necessary to reflect NACG’s risk profile for the work.
- Assess the allocation of risk in client contracts against NACG’s contracting risk regime (including limitation of liability, indemnities, insurance, warranties,
