Arborwest Consulting is seeking self-motivated, career-driven individuals to join our growing team.

We currently have two full time positions to fill with home base options Vancouver Island or the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia.

Requirements for this position:

- FPBC Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) or Registered Professional Forester (RPF)
- Minimum 5 years of Arboriculture, Natural Resource Management, Vegetation Management experience or combined education and experience
- Eligible for ISA Certified Arborist exam and Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) and/or Wildlife Danger Tree Assessor (WLDT)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and mapping skills
- Strong communication skills
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Ability to walk/hike rugged terrain in all weather conditions
- Ability to interpret maps/work plans and navigate accordingly




- Ability to problem solve and work both independently and on a various teams
- Ability to identify common coastal trees and growth rates
- Flexibility for frequent overnight travel

Considered an asset for this position:

- Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) experience with BC Hydro or other major utilities
- ISA Certified Arborist/Utility Specialist

Salary: $38 to $48 per hour (before overtime)
