SUMMARY

The function of the Operations Team Lead is to oversee the processing of all shipments, as well as the movement and monitoring while in route.



Lead the handling of shipments ensuring compliance with DSV's Corporate guidelines as well as government regulations. This role will have direct communication with customers, overseas offices and carriers is required. This role mentors and trains current staff as well as update internal and external process changes from time to time.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Daily management and coordination of shipments
- Lead and direct desk level, day to day operations of the Operation Department
- Champion process and procedure to meet or exceed company KPI requirements
- Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender shipments
- Prepare and publish reports as requested
- Mentor and train new staff from time to time
- Act as the first escalation point for operational and customer service issues.
- Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution
- Responsible for cost containment of shipments
- Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, select most cost-effective method of delivery
