New Westminster Surgical Centre, a division of Clearpoint Health Network, is hiring Registered Nurses – Pre-Op, PACU & Phase 2 Discharge .

The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care throughout the perioperative patient journey. This role gives you the opportunity to work in Pre-Operative Assessment, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Phase 2 Recovery/Discharge . The RN will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive high-quality care throughout their surgical journey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative Care

- Complete comprehensive pre-operative nursing assessments and review patient history, medications, allergies, and relevant clinical information.
- Confirm patient identity, procedure, consent, and readiness for surgery in accordance with established protocols.
- Obtain and document vital signs and other required pre-operative assessments.
- Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery and provide education regarding the procedure, recovery, and discharge expectations.
- Establish IV access and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Identify and escalate any clinical concerns or changes in patient condition to the appropriate physician or anesthesiologist.
