Responsibilities

- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions with precision and creativity
- Provide expert consultations to understand clients’ desires and recommend suitable styles, treatments, and products
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, adhering to health regulations
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing retail sales
- Upsell retail products effectively to meet client needs while supporting store sales goals
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, color theory, and customer service excellence




- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere

Experience

- Proven experience as a hairstylist or barber with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse skills in hair styling and coloring
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for appointment management and retail transactions
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures within a salon environment
- Strong communication skills to connect with clients effectively and provide personalized recommendations
- Experience in store management or overseeing salon operations is a plus but not required
- Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for upselling and inventory management
