1.0 FTE Temporary - LART and Prep Coverage

Commencing: September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027

or return of the incumbent, whichever comes first

- a degree or diploma in Inclusive Education with coursework in diagnosis and remediation of reading and math difficulties, behavior intervention, and Level B testing;
- strong classroom management skills;
- the ability and energy to meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;
- enthusiasm to work in a multi-graded classroom as part of a collaborative team in a community-centered school;
- strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to communicate with students, staff and parents;
- strong formative assessment practices;
- experience with RTI (Response to Intervention) systems;
- ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning;
- robust interest in innovation and inquiry; and




- ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.

The starting annual salary for a full-time School Teacher position ranges from $66,299 to $116,016, with placement in the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The Remote Recruitment and Retention allowance is available for SD85 teachers payable at $3,126 over ten months.
