Job Description

Maritime Civil & Energy is a leader in civil construction, offering expertise in infrastructure projects across Eastern Canada. Our team works on challenging projects such as wind farms, marine terminals, and road construction. We prioritize safety, quality, and innovation, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards.

We offer a rate of $17–$26 per hour.

Responsibilities

- Handle materials and equipment: Safely lift, carry, and move construction materials around job sites.
- Perform general labour tasks: Shoveling, raking, pouring concrete, and other hands‑on work to support construction projects.
- Site maintenance: Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the day.
- Assist with traffic control: Direct traffic around construction zones when required to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
- Perform inspections: Check equipment and site conditions to identify potential hazards before starting tasks.

Qualifications

This position is located in Sussex, Recent Brunswick.

- Experience: 2–5 years of labour experience in the civil construction industry is preferred, but not required for motivated candidates.
- Skills & Knowledge: A strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast‑paced, changing environments.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying, and pushing wheelbarrows for extended periods.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with crew and leadership.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
