The Opportunity:

The DSW is responsible for:

- Assistingresidents in maintaining safe and healthy lifestyles, and monitoring forchanges in their general health, appearance, behavior, and patterns ofactivities
- Identifyinga crisis, defuse the situation, determine an intervention strategy, and contactnecessary supports
- Helpingall residents in making healthy choices and following any pre-establishedorders by medical professionals.
- Planningand supporting residents in daily activities, which may include, but notlimited to, household chores, recreational activities, learning activities,physical fitness activities, and money management.
- Monitoringand maintaining a clean, secure, and secure environment for residents.




- Assistingresidents with personal hygiene skills and tasks.
- Completingrequired, on-going training within Momentum and the Regional Health Authorityrequired timeframes and meeting required competency levels.

Minimum requirements:

- Minimum2 years post-secondary education or
- SocialService Worker Diploma, Community Support Worker Diploma, Human ServicesDiploma, or
- Minimum2 years experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and/orco-occurring mental health disorders; or
- Equivalentcombination of education and experience may be considered

Abilities required:

Salary:

- $19.08 per hour as per collectiveagreement
