Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking an Entry Level Route Driver Trainee to join their safety conscious team in Delta, BC This role begins with learning our business operations, company policies, and safety procedures. The goal will be to progress into a Route Driver that safely transports hazardous and regulated waste between customer sites, company facilities, and approved disposal locations in compliance with Transport Canada and TDG regulations.

Responsibilities

- Support daily operations and eventually provide vacation/absence coverage for internal Safety-Kleen route drivers (SSR/VSSR).
- Learn and apply protected transportation practices for hazardous waste in compliance with Transport Canada and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.
- Assist with the proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including correct drum segregation, securement, and placement.
- Monitor load weights and ensure proper and efficient utilization of company vehicles and equipment.
