In-home caregiver – private home – ViDo… family

Terms of employment: This job is for a full time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible hours are required. English or French. Job starts as soon as possible.

Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $21 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the First Quartile wage rate change for this field of work in Quebec.

Location: ViDo in Joliette, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by (bus # 161). The major intersection is Boul. Cavendish and Kildare.

Duties may include:

- This job is to help with the care of a 4 year old.
- Supervision / Care of child when parents are not at home.
- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise, when baby gets bigger and is able.
- Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development.
- Bathe and assist the child in getting dressed.
- Plan, prepare and serve meals for baby. Kitchen clean-up is also required.
- General housework that will include doing laundry and ironing of school uniforms.
- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.





Qualifications:

- Must have completed at minimum Canadian secondary school education.
- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, patient, and able to manage the job without supervision.
