The Custodian is essential in maintaining a welcoming environment for staff, families, and community members. This position demands a strong understanding of custodial work alongside respect for Wolastoqey/Maliseet traditions. You will play a key role in cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities to reflect the Agency's values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and disinfect meeting spaces and common areas
• Vacuum, dust, and mop various floors and surfaces
• Manage waste disposal and recycling properly
• Replenish cleaning supplies as necessary
• Report security issues and facility concerns
Requirements:
• Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Knowledge of local cultural values
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment
• Attention to detail and independence required
• Complete necessary background checks
