Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 30 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is November 1, 2026.
Language Required: French or English.
Salary: Quebec between $17 and $21 per hour.
Location: LS+FL lives in the city of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, in Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. There is no city bus close by.
Duties may include:
- Help with the care of two children – aged 15, 10 years old.
- Supervision of children when parents are not at home.
- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required.
- General housework that will include doing laundry and ironing of school uniforms.
- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean setting.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
